Description

The Facts is a course that provides information concerning the spectrum of HIV disease, HIV antibody testing, and developments in rapid testing, legal issues, disclosure assistance (partner counseling and referral services), and prevention.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the spectrum of HIV disease

  2. Discuss HIV testing options, the process of testing, and meaning of the results

  3. Describe partner counseling and referral services in the Commonwealth of Virginia

  4. Describe the Virginia Department of Health’s role in the partner counseling, referral, and disclosure voluntary test processes
