This course will teach participant the hands-on skills of performing and interpreting the waived rapid HCV test. This course if for participants who will be performing CLIA waiver testing with in 30 days of this course.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
Demonstrate safe work practices
Identify the QA steps required before, during, and after rapid HCV testing
List the steps of the HCV prevention counseling protocol in conducting the rapid HCV test
Perform and interpret a waived rapid HCV test correctly
Demonstrate finger sticking and sample collection
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of The Fundamentals of Prevention Counseling and The Fundamentals of Waived Rapid HIV Testing.
